Improvements (2)

Front Cover:

I moved the price bubble from the left hand side of the page to the top right-hand corner, next to the barcode. This is more conventional and is seen on many magazines.

I changed the teaser line from 'SHOCKS AND SECRETS' to 'A DAY IN THE LIFE OF...' because this is the header of my feature story. Having the same header creates continuity in my magazine which consequently makes it more professional and appealing for the audience.

Contents Page:

I changed the typography of my main feature story because it was not the same as the front cover. The artists' name should be written in the same typography/colour throughout the whole magazine because it makes the name more noticeable thus helping to promote the artist more. This feature is conventional because it is done in many music magazines.

Double Page Spread:

I didn't make many improvements to my double page spread apart from changing the typography of the artist's name. This was done so that the font used in the front cover, contents page and double page spread all matched. This creates a more professional feel to the magazine and makes the artist stand out more. Featuring a famous artist and making them stand out from the magazine will help the magazine sell more copies because fans of the artist will purchase the magazine.
