Some examples of feature stories:
All these feature stories appeal to the target audience. The magazine is focused on pop music so an interview with a singer is often included so that the reader can get to know them on a personal basis or just read more about their favourite singer. Also included is an article about Taylor Swift's tour. It gives details on her surprise guests, mainly other pop artists. and also features images from her latest shows. Readers may be interested in this as a fan of Taylor Swift or because they were unable to buy tickets for one of her concerts so reading about and seeing pictures is the next best thing.
Articles on fashion and make-up are included because this relates to the typical interests of a girl aged 13-15. They may use these articles as inspiration, advice or simply just reading material. Other interests are TV shows which is why a quiz on the popular show: Pretty Little Liars has been included.
A 'Phwoar' page has been included, featuring male singers and actors with their tops off. This will appeal to the target audience because they are all physically attractive and at the age of 13-15 girls are typically interested in boys. This could also potentially appeal to a male audience who aspire to be like any one of these men, either physically or in terms of what they have achieved.
This poster is used to appeal to the stereotypical 'girly girl'. They may put this poster on their wall because they simply think the puppy is cute or they wish to own one just like it one day.
